Attendance Policy
Parents should call the office the first day of your child's absence. If you do not call, a note is required when your child returns to school. Excused absences are as follows; a) illness, b) medical, dental, or optometric services, c) funeral, d) quarantine by city or county health officer. Vacation is not a valid excuse and will be marked as a Parent Violation.
Board Policy No. 5113 Absences and Truancy When students who have been absent return to school, they shall present a satisfactory explanation verifying the reason for the absence. The parent or guardian will provide a valid excuse for all absences within 10 school days following the absence(s). Any absence or unverified absence that is not verified within 10 school days following the absence(s) will be changed and recorded as a Truancy. |
