The 2017-2018 school year will begin on Thursday, August 17 and is a minimum day with dismissal at 1:00 p.m.  This notification contains basic information that you will need to start the school year.  Please review this information.

2017-2018 School Schedule:    Mon., Tues., Thurs., Fri.:   8:15 a.m.-2:32 p.m.

                                                  Wednesday (Minimum Day):  8:15 a.m.-1:00 p.m.

 

Class Assignments:  Class lists will be posted on Wednesday, August 16 after 5:00 p.m.  Classroom assignments are considered to be firm.  There will be no class changes made due to parent requests during the first three weeks of school.  This year, we are beginning the year with most classes at the maximum number of students.  It is possible that reconfiguration of classes may be necessary after our enrollment stabilizes.  

 

Combination Classes:  As most of our community is aware, combination classrooms (those serving two grade levels) are a fact of schooling in most public elementary schools in California.  Based on projected enrollment, we have formed two combination classrooms for the 2017-2018 school year.  

 

Focus on Student Achievement:  We look forward to working with students and their parents as we continue to focus on student achievement in literacy and mathematics.  We are well aware that you, as parents, play a critical role in helping our students achieve.  We encourage you to stay connected to our school and your students' progress by reading all information sent home, by attending parent-teacher conferences and by checking this website regularly.   Please feel free to contact your child's teacher when you have questions or concerns.  We welcome parent volunteers.  Let's work together to make the 2017-2018 school year a successful one.
